Watercolor is a challenging, yet mesmerizing medium. If you have ever attempted it, you know how frustrating it can be and rewarding. I have started a new watercolor blog, so please come and visit.
A little background. When I was young, I loved to draw. I also loved my art classes. I painted with watercolor when I was in the 3rd grade and remember it vividly. I first pencil drew a neighborhood. Then colored it with watercolor. It was an instant hit among my young peers. In high school, I took commercial art in my senior year and was fortunate enough to win an art contest. My first and only art contest that I entered.
So, to keep this interesting, I started another blog to log my travels back to the art world. Please visit my new blog and be sure to follow.
Now, at the ripe old age of 56, I am discovering art again. I started drawing again and am researching the great watercolor artists. YouTube is a wonderful source of inspiration and learning.
I recently stumbled upon Joseph Zbukvic. I’ve been practicing and getting introduced to watercolor painting, and he is a great inspiration for the artist in learning. Here is a fine interview of his works.
